Some insurance companies seem to forget that it is your vehicle and that it is your right to choose where to have it repaired. If you encounter such pressure, my advice is to stand your ground. If your policy includes a clause stating that you MUST go where you are told, it is essential, for it to apply, that it was made very clear to you at the outset.
